You've asked for it. Now it is available! The SpeedWing Dart XL, the original Dart's big brother. At 150% larger than the original Dart, the SpeedWing Dart XL is a SUPER fast, SUPER agile and SUPER aerobatic 30” flying wing. Designed using space age carbon fiber, balsa and aircraft grade ply, this built-up kit is sure to surpass your wildest dreams for a super clean, fast and fun build for even more of a “Real Fun - Real Fast” experience in both building and flying. Using a minimal brushless motor/ESC setup, the SpeedWing Dart XL is fully capable of speeds in excess of 100 MPH! Maxed-out you can expect to see speeds reaching into the 150+ MPH range. Brushless motors in the Speed 400 size fit nicely in the triple reinforced aircraft grade 5 ply mount. Large outrunners can also fit, up to the large E-flite Power 25! A large battery compartment, complete with a hinged magnetic latched & vented door, will accommodate various large battery combinations. The servo bay is fully enclosed and will except 3 HS-81 sized servos.

This all new SpeedWing utilizes a SUPER strong 6mm wrapped carbon fiber tube design with CF tape and utilizes aircraft grade ply ribs. Designed to fly with or without rudder control (you will need a 2-56 pull-pull hardware pack for rudder control). All balsa and ply parts are fully CNC cut using “tab & slot” construction whenever possible to allow this wing to be quickly and easily framed up and ready for covering, usually in less then 2 hours. Utilizing these design methods also allows the SpeedWing Dart XL to be SUPER light as well as SUPER strong. When fully built and MonoCoat covered, the completed airframe weighs in at just 14 oz., with a full flying weight (AUW) of 24 oz. on a Brushless Speed 400 3s 2100mah setup.

This kit is easy to build and only requires about 3+ hours (depending on covering skills) to complete. Once finished, you will be rewarded with a SUPER stable, SUPER fun to fly wing. Although this kit isn’t recommended for beginners because of its SUPER high speed ability and SUPER agility, once you master the basics of flying R/C, you can handle this plane.

Included in this kit are all CNC cut balsa and ply parts pre-cut carbon tubes, carbon tape, CF hinge material, hatch cover magnets, 2-56 control rod & clevis’, 1/2A control horns, a complete instruction manual including pictures and full size layout/build plans.
