I put this together a few months ago. It's a great little plane to have in the trunk of the car. There have been many times that I have seen an open field and stopped for a quick flight. I started with the GWS motor and it was ok but with a 2S 1200 MAH (I know, larger than recommended) battery it strugggled to stay in the air. The 2S 800 was better but still very sedate. I just upgraded to the Ammo 3860 kv motor and Phoenix 10 2S-3S speed controller.
I was a little disappointed with the performance. Didn't gain that much speed however....I velcro'd on a 3S 800 mah battery and it really came to life! I'd estimate the speed at around 60, maybe faster in a shallow dive. The wing actually whistles a little when it passes by. The vertical isn't unlimited but it's good enough for nice large loops. I think performance could be improved with a lighter 400-450 mah 3S so I'm shopping for that now.
A good day is any day I can fly and this little wing has given that opportunity to me more so than anything else in my hangar. It's quiet, unobtrusive, doesn't scare the neighbors and above all it'll put a grin on your face.
